Do us a favour please Wayne, and anyone else starting similar threads: can we put the full date in the title as it makes searches, and chronologicalizering posts difficult.

Are the pl picadores anything like the PCs? I've got a couple but they are not near the top of my to try list

No not really, they're quite different. Smooth and tasty though [emoji1360]

Diplomaticos No. 4 (Box Code 09).

              Another sadly discontinued vitola.
It's been a couple of years since I smoked one from this box, and there's clearly been some age related improvement.
Alongside the usual Cuban 'twang', there's an interesting, almost alcoholic, citrus-type sour note (think a smoky margarita). Very pleasant.
There was a slight issue with an uneven burn, just one of those things.
I suspect they probably need a few more years to reach their absolute peak, but still a good smoke now.

              Cheers
              El Cat

Sounds pretty good for a cigar that's limped along from '09 El Cat

All sorted. Apologies for any confusion that the dodgy title may have caused..

2005 ERDM Demi Tasse, surprisingly powerful little smoke, especially with the age.

Then I shared a couple of Hoyo Du Maire with two colleagues to celebrate one of them having a son and the last time he'll likely work in London as he's moving onto a new job to settle with the family. No photos of the exact cigar but there's one of the box in my thread in new in the humidor. Taking the banded bundle out was a real pleasure. Makes me want to buy a new box so I can do it again.

Thanks Wayne, there's no dramas but having the year makes things more identifiable.
