That's a good article. 75% of taste comes from smell - FACT

And how often do you see people having to regurgitate food through their nose to get all the flavour?

I think retro healing a cigar, specially a full bodied one takes a lot of getting used to, if you get used to it at all ?, but you definitely get more flavors from the cigar...

I bet there's been a few lads n lasses who've barfed up curries and kebabs through their nozza on Saturday nights that wished they hadn't indulged in that particular 'delayed gratification technique'

But seriously, the contribution that olfaction makes to flavour/taste is irrefutable. Just simply try holding your nose when eating or drinking anything and see/taste the difference.

From what I gather, Sainsbury's "Taste the Difference" range of food and beverages labelling states on the back 'Do not hold your nose whilst eating or drinking this product'

This is exactly how I used to eat my veggies as a kid.

Oh, im not refuting it. Im just not so eloquently pointing out that the human body does a pretty good job of making use of it without the need for such a specific forced action.

I'd agree Marc, just emphasising the points for effect

                  Works. Careful with hot smoke.

Unless you stop breathing when chewing your food, you will be retro haling while eating.

Try to blow out like 90% of the smoke in your mouth before you retrohale. The more the better, that makes it a lot more bearable at first. And try it with a mild cigar at the beginning as well. After a few tries, it'll be no problem at all...

I retrohale almost all the way through. If I just hold smoke in my mouth then blow it out I get naff all from it tbh.
