Today I chose one of my favourites, the Surrogates Cracker Crumb

IMO id say... Full bodied, sweet and spicy throughout finishing with some BBQ/Chocolatey flavours. Lasts me 1 hour and i'd definitely recommend it

Hoyo de Monterrey Hermoso No 4 Anejados

So here we have the fourth release in the Anejados series and I think this may be the first one on here. This is the smallest cigar in the range so far. Nice appearance as you'd expect from this marca and nothing distinctive about the scent from the wrapper.

The cold draw was good and had faint notes of caramel. It lit easily and generally burned well except for a little tendency towards one side.

This was a very smooth smoke, mild to medium bodied and the predominant flavour was definitely coffee but it was nothing special. @oskihen messaged me and asked how it was and I replied 'okay'
The ash held quite well but at this point I could see a break forming and tapped it off

I slid off the bands soon after this and look what I found hiding underneath!

Into the final third and what a surprise, HdM had hidden an almond flavour bomb after the hole and I had to reach for the nub spike for the second day in a row

This was better than the Monte Anejados but nowhere near as good as the RyJ version.
It shouldn't need to improve with age as its already five years old according to Habanos.

I wouldn't turn one down but I'm unlikely to buy any more. HdM do better cigars at low prices that are better value for money.

A little something on the drive home

A mystery NC which was part of a trade with @smokeyjoe Thank you[emoji1360]

Club punched as I couldn't find my large punch when leaving the house this morning[emoji15] It turned up in the jacket I was wearing[emoji849][emoji854]

Decent smoke which was fairly robust.
I wonder what it was? Was it always unbanded SJ?

Will have too keep an eye out on that one Scooby when I place my next order.

cuaba divinos. very nice little smoke, construction was perfect no relight or touching up but the last third ran a little hot and bitter noticeably different from the smoothness of the rest of the cigar. It had a real sweet taste but heavy at the same time lots of smoke. wouldn't make me run out and buy a box but would definitely buy again

my night was a solid as ever RASS. I was sitting out in blustery winds with a chimnea that was blowing huge amounts of smoke into my eyes and mouth and having a G&T with this gin from the Shetland islands (60%!, great with a string tonic like fevertree)

                          I really need more RA!

The last one before this was a RA 2005 Swiss RE [MENTION=13378574]Trickle[/MENTION] had one too and although it wasn't as good as that amazing cigar, it was a very enjoyable smoke.

                          Enjoy it? Yes
                          Box worthy? Yes

Ive been smoking a few NC's lately so tonight I thought I'd pick up a Dippy no2 one of my faves! This has some age to it but it makes me realise how much better imho Cubans are.
