Had a horrible smoke today 5 vegas gold maduro, looked like a piece of shit tasted like a piece of shit rolled in grass. Ditched after not even half way through
Por Larranaga Picadores. Dreadful, forgetting that it was a semi wind tunnel I struggled to find anything even vaguely PL about it, in fact apart from the size and shape I couldn't find anything even vaguely cigar about it. For flavour I've had better steam baths and would have done better with a Silk Cut Mild.
Far be it for me to slate a smoke that many on here seem to love, but if this is an prime example of cigars that are great ROTB you can keep them, you could have aged the one I've just smoked forever and it wouldn't have improved it. Picadore? Pipsqueek more like. The last pic is where I gave up in fear of dying from boredom and sheer disappointment.
Possibly. I've smoked plenty of bad or not up to par cigars from boxes before, but this was a first, one so lacking in anything that it that it qualified as being tasteless.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

That's disappointing, I do like the PL flavour profile and not had a bad one yet. I hope if you do have the box that they're better. I heard that dried out then humidified too quickly removes flavour. I hope you didn't get sold a dud box and that it's a one off.
Had a day off, did stuff, then snoozed with the sun in my face. Was kicking myself for not snagging a cheeky stick.... Seems like its been a bad day for it, so perhaps bullet dodged. Bad luck fellas...

It wasn't many posts ago Arf that you put up a cigar that some years back you thought was crap and when revisited, was great. I'm obviously not in the position to suggest that the above example would have turned the corner like your JL1 did, neither am I defending the brand/blend/bland() but sometimes some sticks just don't do it ay? In comparison to the fistful I've had (which led to a box) it sounds like you had a shit one. As they say, it happens, amigo
