Asylum 4x44 - a tangy little smoke. One of Cigar Aficionado's 'Top 25' (!) for 2013 which got my attention.

Started the evening off with a seriously disappointing RASS, have smoked about 20 of these so far and they've been cracking. This one was totally unsmokeable, almost impossible to draw and after 10 mins massaging and attempting to clear it with toothpick and skewer I gave up on it.
As it was a beautiful evening I decided to go for a RYJ Anejados and I'm so glad I did. This is the 3rd of these I've tried over the last few months and it was the best so far, a really smooth smoke, a touch tight on the draw but most enjoyable. Will probably give them another few months before I try another in the hope they keep improving.

They were a gift, PJ. They're not bad smokes, but very little flavour evolution - which is something I've gotten used to when it comes to NCs. They actually look better then they taste!

Visited Chester on Monday and called into Turmeaus tobacconist on Watergate. What a great place. Good selection of pipes, great range of tobaccos and magnificent array of cigars, not to mention the wonderful cigar lounge where you can sit in a leather armchair, with TV and cigar related magazines, and sample a fine cigar with a coffee, soft drink or purchase a single malt whiskey. I relaxed smoking a Sancho Panza bellicosos.
Definitely a place I would recommend and will return to next time I am up near thbere.
Wish Cgars would open a similar place with proper cigar sampling lounge in London.

I passed the same Turmeaus on Friday and thought that the blanked out windows (to comply with the new legislation) looked utterly crap.

Unless you were looking for it specifically I think you'd pass it by without a second, they need to do something to make it stand out more.
