So today my friend Zowie finally made it to a British Sunday Lunch at the Bolivar homestead. Wife had dinner on the table by 13:00, a sizeable hunk of beef was served & a bottle of decent St Emilion 2009 to wash it down & we were soon one to choosing the cigars for the afternoon. We settled on a pair of Boli GM 2008, to finish off the wine & I picked a box of Party LE 2010, that I bought in Cuba; time enough to check out their progress. To drink with the Party, I finally cracked a special liquor that we picked up at the factory, the day that they happened to be making another batch. it turned out to be a great match. The Boli was sublime, I gave it 96, Zowie is a tougher critic & gave it 93. The Party we did agreed on 85pts, potential but still away to go. Many thanks for coming over Zowie, look fwd to us further exploring the contents of the Boli cave together.

Hehehehe... a 93 is tough critic. The last Bolivar GM I had was a set 71 points.

You think they're performing well, Si? I think I'll need to light up one of them soon, then. Those 08s are still quite easily found, too.

I'm more jealous of the English breakfast, though. Hardpressed to find black cake in Canada. Or meat as fresh as the one I had around a year ago. I'll be back soon!

Life is very wet out of here Jez, That's why we started outside on the patio & then had to repair to the garage doorway. Still we were recently in the main square in Antwerp (where we went together) & had a great time in he sun that evening.
