Had my first RASS, 2014 box from Cuba. This is an excellent little smoke and I'm looking forward to seeing what some age does to them!

An HdM Epi Esp - better then the Epi 2, but still a very average smoke for me:

I had the first one from a 2012 box I acquired recently and it was lovely and smooth.

I personally really like these and in particular the additional smoking time it gives you compared to the Epi 2.

So Wigan sorry if you were expecting me to drop by today & apologies not not getting in touch but I got stuck onboard for an extra week! My back to back has been off sick since Jan & had a return to work medical last week, which he failed. With a whole week to organize, they failed to find anyone to come out for me. My wife had taken Thurs & Fri off, we had an appointment for Fri & our daughter is visiting for a week from Sunday so hacked off to say the least. But you just can't walk of the rig as a medic or they have to shut down (in theory). So I wasn't left much option if I valued my long term prospects, when we have lost 15 guys in the last month, with two more rounds of cuts to go.
Just to elevate my mood a little I decided to smoke the cigar I was expecting to smoke waiting for my flight in Aberdeen; n ERDM Lunch Club 2007. And a mighty fine smoke it was too, certainly the best LC I can recall, usually they don't do much for me. Just right with a coffee, watching the ladies first quarter finals.

Doesn't get much better than this on a Tuesday night.

My golf partner brought the rum back from the Dominican as a gift last week.

                  Tuesday 7th July 2015

I'm going to pop Tuesday's smoke in as it was remarkable in that it smelled of little but packed a huge flavour bomb.

The 1970's Macanudo from Simon B's split last year.

I cut with my antique silver cheroot cutter which did a surprisingly good job, construction is good.

Cold draw was really strong which was a complete surprise after the smell of the cigar was almost non existent. It was all Liquorice and leather.

When lit the smokes flavour was white pepper, spice and wood (sandalwood and cedar). It was a delight to smoke and I thank Simon for sharing this amazing box of cigars with us.

I had a fiver but gifted two so only two remaining. If anyone wants to sell or trade me theirs I have some cool stuff to trade.

Simon posted the pictures of the entire box for me to look at last night so here it is.

That will be the box he was going to sell me! I've already pleaded for anyone to let me have any of theirs if they can bear to part with them. Interesting though that I found mine to be quire fragrant with no trace of pepper.
