Parnaby, my Mrs is Italian so we make quite a few espressos on the stove, I'd probably fill the cup a little less. Which coffee you using buddy?

      Any reason for that mate?

I just popped into Tesco on the way home and the choice was pretty limited. Went for a Carte Noir. I was actually thinking of starting a thread for coffee recommendations. I don't have a grinder so would have to be ready ground.

In Italy they always tell me to fill the cup half full for a more intense espresso. Saying that I'm sure you know how you like your coffee.
I recommend any lavazza, illy or Kimbo. I'm sure others will have some other recommendations.
          Here's a few I've got right now.

Today the OIM invited me to take an hour off & smoke a cigar with him (my cigars of course!) So I gave him a Boli Tubos No2 '07 & & I had a RA LE 2001, that I bought at the Herf. The only other one I have had so far was in the sick period & gave me the biggest nicotine hit I could recall, 18 months ago. I bought a box though, on the basis of the first 2/3 of the cigar, which was strong & powerful & I reckoned they would come good in time. Well not all the way they yet but a very enjoyable smoke, which would have been better matched with a whiskey but wattcha gonna do on an oil rig?

The after bbq sip&smoke at my brother in law's : Ardbeg 10yrs with CAO OSA SOL.
The ashtray is one of my router jobbies. With an embedded Ardbeg cork, "A" being the first initial of my brother in law and Ardbeg being his favorite distillery.
Needless to say : MLW was the designated driver ;-)
