Well cracked open the limited editions at last. Having a Por Larranga - Secrotos, mainly as wanted to compare it to last nights Por Larranga. The only other one I have had. So far they are worlds apart - in a good way.

Anejados
It would be a sweltering day if not for that wind. Having spent three and a half hours jet washing my mother in law's nation this morning I felt I deserved something special and decided to try the new RyJ Anejados Pyramides. So what was it like? Right from the start I got a rich mouthful of a coffee/caramel mixture with a hint of white pepper on the finish. This pepper built up throughout the cigar but never became overpowering. There were definite tannic notes throughout and some almond flavour appeared in the final third. The burn was perfect and only one relight was required at the 3/4 stage. These may have been made nine years ago as claimed but they've not long been banded. Both bands popped off as easily as an NC. I will definitely buy some more of these.

After this mornings delivery, thanks Martyn [emoji6], I now have a FULL humidor and had to evict the PLPC and make a sacrifice [emoji13]
A cigar of two halves, 1st half was rubbish a tight draw and poor burn and just about to bin it, when all of a sudden it loosens up and really becomes a different cigar which I really enjoyed will buy a couple more to try again.
Now to hunt for another humidor which Iv been putting off for a while [emoji6] and after this weekend where my better half and I got our AIP for a mortgage the house hunt is on [emoji4] so will need a new Humi as my own house warming gift to myself [emoji106]

The sort of cigar that 50 years ago a Cad might smoke in his Morgan on his way to loot his Great Aunts stately home.
This was only a 2010 but absolutely brilliant out there on a sunny afternoon. A bit mild possibly for some, but silky smooth, excellent flavors and perfectly balanced. A1 construction. Flawless burn.If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Fired up the Serie d no. 6 over lunch
After reading a few reviews Id anticipated a sucker punch of nicotine but it never arrived. I guess this is because a lot of the first reviewers got cigars that were rushed out for the Habanos festival.
Easy draw, woody notes with a touch of pepper but not overly strong or complex. Lots of smoke. Enjoyed it with a coffee. Thanks Pee JayLast edited by Joss; 14-04-2015, 07:39 PM.

The missus had a doctor's appt in Hasselt, the town which happens to host a Casa del Habano with the largest humidor in Belgium. Me in my persuasive voice "I'll join you dear, and we'll make it a shopping day"
So i smoked my first Trinidad, a Reyes ?9.50. Lovely! Or was it the Guinness that closed the deal. Anyway an enjoyable wait on the terras of The Irish Times Pub, good cigar, lovely drink and plenty of luverly ladies parading in their new summer attire.

My first Vegueros Entretiempo. Heard generally positive things about them and have to say it's rather good. Something interesting and unique in the flavour - can't quite put my finger on it.
