My first large ring gauge RyJ - a short Churchill. Was worried it was going to be too peppery for me at the start but it's settled now. Not sure if it's the accompanying dunkel I'm drinking, but I detect some caramel?

Finished work early today so Im now enjoying an RyJ Petit Churchill with a sweet milky coffee.

Tried to photograph the eclipse earlier with limited success, through a piece of welding glass.

A better eclipse to look at!

Coffee for me too in the sunshine with an Alec Bradley Vice Pressed Double Robusto 6T4. Beautiful construction but too bloody big for the Xikar, good job I bought the Colibri last month because I found out after I had lit and tried to cut it. It was very mild and pleasant but unremarkable. I might try another but a smaller vitola!

I have no idea where it came from, think it was snuck in as a freebie amongst an order of NC's from somewhere. Still, 15 minutes in and it's actually a pretty nice smoke.

Really took my time dragged it out to about half an hour but more realistically you would be nailing these in about 20 mins.

HDM Epi No.2 for me this evening. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
I learned a harsh lesson tonight though. I caused the outer wrapper to start falling apart by removing the bands.
I guess I will have these issues occasionally until I gain more experience. It took nothing away from the smoke though.

Went to 1A St James, had a lovely Ramon Allones Petit Belicosos UK Regional Edition today, dragged it out with a couple of espressos while doing a personality test for a job... never got a result, not sure if it's trying to tell me something

Very enjoyable, developing some massive flavour in the third third after a nice mild beginning, ending with honey and sweet flavours. Lashings of smoke.
