  • Wednesday 18th March

Its a good day, cleaned house, completed end of year expenses for my business and its only lunchtime. Thought I'd have a little RyJ No3 to de-stress, after also receiving two (2nd) interviews for this week and next I might have to celebrate with something a little bigger

Continuing the good day theme, I am off work in the sun listening to music smoking a cigar.

Not off work but only one more night to go, sunshine, coffee, Van Morrison and an SLR Petit Corona

Enjoying a Boli RC, from the first box of cigars I bought, back in September last year. Absolutely delicious.

Another sublime smoke, even though the draw was a little too easy. It didn't affect the taste or enjoyment at all

Just settled down to smoke an Arturo Fuente Epicure (robusto) with a dram. I havent smoked a great deal of this brand but was looking forward to it as Id smoked a Cubanitos and really enjoyed it.

Wrapper was slightly split from the middle to the end, so it looked a bit unsightly but I carried on regardless. On lighting it was a very easy draw but an immediate hit of ammonia. The burn started to go pear shaped and within a few minutes it was clear that there was tunnelling where the wrapper had split. Couple that with an increasing ammonia taste I relegated this one to the bin in disgust! Absolutely awful and a cheap tasting cigar thar cost ?10.50. Waste of time and money. Im sticking to Cubans.

I've not had the Epicure but their Chateau Fuente line are a bit of a favourite. They have the usual NC issue of the UK duty etc almost pushing them to the price of a better Cuban though.
