RA Swiss Perfecto
Good for 2 thirds but bitter on last needs 6months ageing
Very nice, Martyn . Got it down farther than I could've. I will agree with the ageing part... Not as good as the Swiss Bolivar on release. But this one is sure as hell stronger.
Box worthy for ageing down the line. Especially since the ends are tapered to allow less flavour descreptancies IMHO.
I have a '02 RASS lined up for today. Don't like Robustos much but this one is an exception
Montecristo Especial(Cello) for me tonight. Box code NNUE 1984? I checked this code on Cubanigarwebsite.com and this code doesn't seem to be part of the NIVELACUSO date codes as they started in 1985!?!?!? Cuba being Cuba?
Plus, according to MRN's book, Montecristo have never produced these as cellophane wrapped?!?

Well that's an oddity! How does it smoke there, Stev'eh?
It's hard to say "Cuba being Cuba" when there's a pre-mature release. Cuba is known for tardy releases, innit? That'd be like releasing the new RyJ bands 1 year early on cigars by accident. I don't think they would've even had the stamps capable of stamping something called "NNUE". That just doesn't make sense.
That doesn't mean it doesn't exist, though. I haven't been around long enough
RE: Cello. That's not cello. that's individual wax paper. I have heard various retailers comment that they used to put wax paper to "protect" the older cigars but that's only on whole boxes... not individual cigars. Quite odd indeed.
