Working away again this week so brought a couple sticks with me. Picked up this Monte OM '08 at the weekend.
Nice smoke, main let down is that the flavour hasn't changed from ththe start. Nice easy draw and great creamy thick smoke. Would be perfect with a nice single malt but I'm on the cokes

Quick question for you all, when the first ash fell, there was these 3 little holes in the filler. Is this a poor roll or what? Never seen it before.

I've pulled out a Plasencia Reserva Organic in robusto. Another new stick for me. Will do a quick write up.

Well I have had one of these sat in the bottom of my humidor for about a year now. Decided to try it and see if it was really like some people make them out to be. I know they are not loved by all but I actually couldn't fault it considering the price you pay. Obviously I have had much better but I can say I have tried worse.

The flavour on that stick has developed brilliantly

I decided to embark on a 'long and skinny' CC and NC test programme, but the first 2 were a bit disappointing. (First was a very unexciting Vegueros Especiales No1 from 2001. Second was an almost poisonous L'Atelier.)

Tonight, I've pulled out the stops and gone for the Cohiba Lancero. This is a cigar with a fair few enthusiastic supporters here and it's only my third ever Cohiba of any description. Certainly it's a league apart from the first 2 skinnies I've tried (though that wouldn't be hard with the L'Atelier. And to think I really enjoyed the L'Atelier LAT56.)

The Lancero's aroma is fantastic. It's a smooth and creamy smoke, with a slight peppery bite on the end of my tongue, and really delicious. Lots going on taste wise. I'm guessing it was young because I bought it as a single, but if age always improves a Lancero, these must mature into some awesome cigars.

Welcome to the Lancero lovers club, of those I have tried none of them have topped the Cohiba however enjoyable they were

Yep, I think I risk the rest being a bit of a disappointment after the Lancero, but glad I tried it now.

That Plasencia Reserva Organic turned out nicely. Wasn't that complex, but I'd get a single again.
