Had a really long and stressful week at work. Went to the pub early and took a A. Fuente Gran Reserva Exisitos. It was possibly the worst cigar I've ever had, but I think it was just a dud. I tried the lighting before cutting method but I don't think that's what caused it. It was dry as a nun's vaj, the cap kind of just peeled away when I cut it and the first inch was all binder and no filler. Got better as it went on and got a great ash, but still pee'd me off.

I went to the pub next to my local which has a walk in but they don't look after their sticks. I hunted through all of their boxes and found a Siglo II from 2012 but was too expensive (25 quid!) so I plumped for my first Juan Lopez, a No 4 from 2010. Really, really enjoyed it.

The A. Fuente must have been a dud as you say.
Either this pub has a serious smoking terrace complete with bar and pumps, or are you smoking inside? (If so, where the hell is it? I want to go!)

Welcome back & nice to see the bar's still well stocked Steve! Let us know what you made of the EL, I had one a year ago & it was either a completely duff example or in a sick period coz it made me feel blah! I have since brought a box as I am sure they will be great in a few years, many think they are now.

Been a long and tiring week welcoming little un into the world. So for the last 3 nights Ive had a smoke on returning from the ward (I usually have 3 in a week.) Tonight it was a mellow and tasty Arturo Fuente Cubanitos. Excellent short smoke with decent oaky, coffee flavours. Sweet wrapper on the lips. Chilling out in the garage as theres a new house rule of no smoking!

My first LGC, gifted by Tommy a while back.

I have to say, the construction was far superior to the Cohiba Lancero I smoked on Xmas day and was a lot more enjoyable overall, cheers Tommy [emoji106]
