Many congrat's Joss, good modest choice too. Money will be even tighter from now on in, get's a bit easier when the finally leave uni!
So after the night of the perfect Celestial Finos, I had some training the next morning & then checked in for my chopper ride. Unfortunately due to the risk of triggered lightening, the flight was cancelled so another night on the beach! I went into Aberdeen, back to the Soul Bar & the gas heaters & chose a pint of German Beer to go with my last PL Alemania RE 2006 Lonsdale. I had brought a couple of boxes of these from Christoph, Hamburg LCDH & sent most of them to the UK for members of the old Club Havana group. I did enjoy these in '07 &'08 but this one came from a collection buy & I was interested to taste how kind the yrs had been. The construction was perfect, no tight spots, nice wrapper & for once the labels seem to add something rather than detract. One I lit up the very first puff, gave me a blast of PL flav! The PL profile is unmistakable but one would not normally call PL's more than med flav, med bodied but as this one continued I knew it was quite remarkable & would describe it as med flav full bodied, especially the second half. Wish I still had one of my boxes left to enjoy now! Here's a pic of one of my original boxes & me smoking one June '07, in the Piano Bar Antwerp, before the glass house was needed.
