I tried one of my new EP Carillo's today.

Construction was great, except the cap didn't cut very well. That's probably my cheap cutter rather than the cigar though.

Nice even draw all the way, very smooth, didn't go out, didn't have to purge, very good.

The taste was quite mild though so I think it is more of a morning or lunch time smoke to be honest. Wasn't much change in flavour until right at the very end either.

Enjoyed it though and definitely recommend it to others, especially to beginners and people who don't like harsh ones.

Nice band despite the gloomy shot, perhaps you should try a punch on the next one?

Yea sorry about the pics, was outside under a big red neon sign.

Will give the punch a go yea. Same issue though, I bought a cheap one and its shit. Let that be a lesson, spend a little bit more and get quality.

Don't forget to moisten the tip before punching

Had a successful morning fishing, see the UKFC Fishing club thread. Basically broke my PB for Dble figue Pike for the season, in icy conditions, so lots to celebrate later at the cafe.Met up with Zowie Kokx, at 17:00. We started Vintage Friday with a clear Havana rolled in England in the 60's, an el Reno.SAM_6346.jpg This was a surprisingly powerful smoke for such an aged smokeSAM_6347.jpg & a great starter. SAM_6349.jpgWe followed that with a Party Series No2.SAM_6358.jpg Whilst smoking this splendid smoke SAM_6360.jpgwe met a kindred spirit, a Dutchman, called Rudolph (seriously), who has been living in Belgium, for a while & would like to start up a cigar club based in Antwerp for local & international travellers passing through; sounds a great idea to me.SAM_6357.jpg

So first I have heard of vintage Friday. Was thinking about having one of the 1970`s ones from Mr Bolivar when I got home work but forgot all about it. One of the beauty's of the scubador- out of sight out of mind. Anyway will try and get in on this vintage Fridays from now on.

So I am in the process of recharging my Boveda and as a result my desktop is running at 65%. Picked up a Quintero and liking the faster burn, getting lots of flavour. Could maybe get into this...

Yeah scratch that. The back of nostrils where they meet my throat (not sure what the name of that is) is burning when I retro hale. Maybe some sort of holder to cool the smoke?

Pretty good for the first 3/4.
