The cut was a bit crisp, maybe that's the style of this cigar or maybe my hi tech vanador isn't so great (all the other smokes seem ok).

    Very loose cold draw.

Pretty nice smoke, I do think it's somehow dried out too much but good old NC build quality, they used plenty of glue, it's solid as a rock.

    More thoughts after.

I like the osa got another there might have to try smoke that next

I had planned to have one this afternoon before work but MLW surprised me by taking the day off so had to engage in social intercourse all day. Love her to bits really.

Forum time travel - it's Thursday, but here I am in Wednesday. Had No.5 in the CA Top 25 for 2013 - the BHK54. I was with company at Boisdale's so it seemed a good occasion for a cigar with such a pedigree (and price tag), but it would have been a bit rude to be writing up the cigar at the time. I'll keep it brief cos I'm knackered and fighting off another cold: Cigar Aficionado say it's a "bold, leathery smoke with a solid earthy core and pleasant notes of coffee bean" and I say it's none of those things (OK, maybe the coffee bit), but it is a beautiful cigar and one I am glad I have smoked. Is it worth the premium? Well, perhaps some things in life just are what they are and shouldn't be reduced to pounds and pence.

I'm a fan of Monte's but never had a PE, recommend them Joe?

My favourite of the Monte range. Consistently brilliant.

I know they've got a few people that knock them, but for my newbie pallet, I find them to have just enough flavour to enjoy, without kicking my arse!
