About a third the way through, not bad at all. Pretty good for a young cigar this size to be honest. Def think there is some potential in the future with age.
Went out into the snow so decided on a Montecristo Petit Tubos (aka, No. 4). The peppery finish kept me nice and warm!
A different animal, mate. No. 4 and Petit Tubos have different blends.
Like the Bolivar Petit Corona and the Bolivar No. 2, they're the same size but different blends.
Otherwise, they'd call them a No. 4 Tubos. Like they do with the Churchill from RyJ.
Very firm prelight draw on this one so, out came the reamer! ( thanks PeeJay), which soon made it perfect.
Nice mild smoke, creamy taste to begin with, which then became a taste of black cherry through the middle third, with a little bit of liquorice & finally back to the creaminess enjoyed in the first third.
My last few cigars have awoken my palate I think. I've now been smoking cigars on & off for around a year, with the last 6 months or so really getting into them.
Hopefully now I am able to identify individual aspects of each cigar, that will increase the enjoyment each one gives..
