I didn't expect to smoke today as I'm off to work at five but when MLW announced she was off to her mum's it was into the den for a small one. A point that is often raised on here is whether it is worth ageing non Cubans and this cigar certainly made a point for it. This is a Las Vegas de Rios Exquisitos from Nicaragua and rolled in February 2000 that Martyn gave me just before Christmas. If I had blind tasted this I would have said it was an aged Petit Julieta, it was so almondy, smooth and creamy. The photos show how good it was. If you're in Geneva you can pick up a box for a very decent price.

But how was it in 2000 peejay. The point often raised about ageing and NC is that they don't benefit from it. Not that there not nice when aged just that they were better new

No idea but if it was better than this it would have made waves I would have thought.

You do know why these are called de rois? and why they are available from only one place which will not ship to the USA.

A Monte Petit No.2, the first one from a ten box brought home from Spain in the summer. Perfect burn, draw and great smoke, a super 30-40 minute smoke for a chilly Belfast afternoon.

About what, why there called that and only available from the one place kind of did not need a answer as self explanatory but you did ask why so I told you. If it makes you fell better I can say everyone has the cap applied with a arse clench after being licked and inserted but don't think there's any need for that as my get the bear in your avatar over excited.

Nice & mild, easy draw. Perfect for our walk today. A good one for newbies I think as they are mild & uncomplicated, without being too bland.
