I had the Cohiba Lancero from Simon Bolivar in front of an outdoor open fire while sitting in the summer house talking to my brother in law.
It was great, lovely mellow hay tones. Slightly malty and beany.... With a long smooth aftertaste.
Massive thanks Simon.

Thursday 25th December 2014 (Christmas Day)
Finally home from work and caught up with everyone else's Christmas. A bolivar No. 3 from a gift pack from the Mrs. Best gift but not for the usual reasons. She bought me 4 EMS cigars. I've now gone online and shown her how much they would cost from abroad! Hey ho she no doesn't mind me buying from abroad!! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!

Merry Christmas!
Given today is all about family (for me anyway), went for the Alec Bradley Family Blend VR1. Rather peppery, but that kind of boldness is nice after a day of over-indulgence.

Firstly thanks to VTG & Wolfie for letting me know I had added something special to their Christmas, cheers guys, glad you enjoyed them. With the enormous stock in the Boli cave, you might be surprised by my own choices. Firstly a couple of Sumoavana Whiffs, SAM_5985.jpgthese are Cafe Creame sized cigars made of Cuban leaf that was imported into the UK & rolled here, SAM_5986.jpgback in the 60's?SAM_5987.jpg These were a delight as I wasn't expecting anything from them IMG_0338.jpgbut the taste was clearly Cuban & as cheap as chips.IMG_0339.jpgIMG_0341.jpg Third cigar a Trini Short T 2010. This was a disappointment. Although I gave one to my host, who said his was perfect, mine was completely overfilled & too tight a draw to allow the flav to open up & enjoy it. As mentioned by a BOTL on FB, I should have ditched it & smoked something else.IMG_0377.jpgIMG_0378.jpgLast edited by Simon Bolivar; 27-12-2014, 07:45 AM.Simon Bolivar: Liberator of Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru & Venezuela.
