Picked up a RYJ no3 on my way to work earlier. Being only my second cigar I'm not sure what to expect but I'm looking forward to it, with a cup of black coffee on my break

Trini Reyes, with the darkest wrapper I've seen ( the flash makes it look a lot lighter than it actually is).

That is dark. I got a box of San Cristobal de la Habana El Principe that were way darker than i was expecting and was told it was down to not being EMS. The perfect shade ones are saved for that. Thats why its held in such high regard.

Just going of what i have been told i personally know naff all

That may well be the case as the others I have are definitely EMS, whereas this was gifted.

That seems the crap butters would spout. Was it him. Ems is a shade in the American market but the UK get the same variety of wrapper shades as every where else.

"Natural wrappers are also referred to as “English Market Selection.” The term English Market Selection is a term used in Cuban cigar manufacturing, which refers to the designated quality for the UK market. They are typically a bit darker than Connecticut wrappers due to the fact that they are more mature when picked, and are sometimes not shade grown. These tend to be just a bit sweeter with a fuller spice profile and some additional notes of cedar, coffee, bread, and sometimes earth. Identifying these by color can be tricky, as many other wrapper shades have a similar color. Additionally, some companies use Natural as a blanket term covering Connecticut, Claro, and sometimes many others."

quoted on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cigar#Wrapper which is were i believe i originally got it from

I've still yet to have a Monte no.4. It's on the 'to try' list, which seems to be almost endless

You really must! At a later date I may send a Monte 4 as a bomb so no excuses then! [emoji6]

I've had a no.5 and it was excellent but since I smoke probably less than once a month I try to vary the brands quite a bit

Met up with ChanceSchmerr and another friend at Ajay's then as we were leaving we bumped into Monkey so took him under my wing and kept him company for the evening (or vice versa)

Smoked; HDM EPI2, LGC Deliciosos, Party P1 and an Edmundo Dantes Conde 54 after dinner.

I had Don Tomas Lindos Clasico, nothing special, but nice short relaxing smoke in late evening.
