Usual weekend madhouse trying to squeeze my entire family life into 48 hours before returning to London. Wound down this evening with No 18 of the CA Top 25 for 2013, the Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary Robusto. This is said to be a cigar with "a robust and flavorful blend" and "the Robusto excelled with its black cherry and dried fruit intonations around a rich core of coffee."
Had a Rocky Patel 10th Anniversary Robusto a while ago and disliked it, so didn't come to this one with high hopes. Cut it and regretted it straightaway. Draw had no resistance at all. The coffee taste was very strong in the first third and while I love coffee it was too bitter for me. Would love to taste the cherry but didn't find that. Upside was a gorgeous aroma and it did get steadily more interesting. However, for me, it was only ok.
