Partagas Presidentes from a recent split. A bit milder than I had expected, but sweet from start to finish. Really enjoyed it.

Gone outside for a good long break and a coffee
Thought I would be 1st to light up one of the Especiales from the recent split
Have to say it draws well has nice soft mild flavours with the typical aged mellowness just what I like with lovely soft tobacco in the background glad I bought plenty

Monte No 4, first out of my box. Very nice, despite being fresh. I'll be interested to see how they change over time.

thats encouraging for me as I've been considering getting some, narrowing down the choice is the difficult bit!

Just out of interest, what's the date on those? I had a fresh box of 4's which went through a 'sick period'. It's a July 13 box which I bought in Oct 13. The first couple I had were not nice at all. I've let them rest in the Humi ever since and actually had one a couple of weeks back and it was absolutely fine. As good as any 4 should be!

& one of my band box before it got upgraded from 10 to 25 cigar box.

The timing is the same, 1 year on. I'd need to check (box is stowed away), but pretty sure it's Jul 14 and I got them last month. Since I'm quite fresh out of the box too, I got some great advice on the forum.

Apparently Monte 4s are good this year, so while they will definitely benefit from some rest/ageing, they're not bad to smoke now. I guess that might not always be the case if it's not such a good year?? I'm going to leave them for a while and see what changes. It'll be a good learning experience!

2013 and 2014 (so far) are looking to be great years for Habanos. It is anticipated that 2015 will not be so due to poor crops in the previous years. Stock up on '13 and '14!
