Wow those Rico VIP's are on the rough side! (Personal opinion).
Not too bad for the cost though. I got 20 Robusto Maduro's for about $55 US.
Took me about 2 years to get through them - didn't get better with age.

Good work, not 100% on the year but close enough. The first two I tried did nothing for me but after a year in my singles humi they seem to have come back to life. Grassy and great with a whisky.

To be honest first one I had really enjoyed the flavor but see where you're coming from there on last nights one.

Tried my first Boli Robusto Extra el Greco 2009 at a local espressobar. I sat out side in the autumn sun, which is bright & warm & paired it with a couple of Stella's. Would have drunk Mythos, local beer but for some reason not available. The Bookwas a really decent smoke, bit strong for after the light lunch I had, expected to smoke an R&J but then found these in the local cigar shop. It was good enough for me to wal a km back to buy a box. Suppose the very tough economic times Greece has been though explains why some of these are still available. Business was brisk but customers cases med to be popping in to buy a few singles to smoke straight away rather than bulk buys.
