you don't have to do it that way but you can give it a go, I think the idea is that the initial lighting fumes won't be pulled into the stick

Never seen that before, but the idea does make sense.

Quite a bit about it out there, I think if you google "cigar three match lighting technique" you'll have a busy afternoon.

In the 'local' - 1a St James's - having a Partagas E2. Atmosphere understandably very different to the herf! Doesn't feel right taking photos, tho might venture one when I've settled in!

Well, I really envy all of you with indoor or semi-indoor dens. The intensity of smoking in a room amplifies everything about the aroma and taste of a cigar. I don't know what an E2 would be like otherwise, never having had one before, but this is so enjoyable. I can taste all sorts of things, from coffee to liquorice, and the smoke lingers so the experience of each puff lingers on too.

I didn't notice any of this at the herf, probably because it was a social event. It's very quiet here today (one other very serious looking chap in here).

Got the phot in when serious bloke went to the heads! Felt a bit touristy taking a picture. Enjoyed the last half on my own, so got all meditative. Great cigar and a great experience.

You're the second person to enthuse about the aged Epi 2s at JJ, I can feel the need to try one.

1a. Still not made it to JJ's - I think it shuts at 1745 most nights, so I'm waiting for when I can get away with an extended lunch. It'll help having the boss on my side!
