Enjoying a Macanudo Court on the roof terrace of Hall and Woodhouse in Bath. The sun is trying to break through and just had a good lunch. MLW very happy after four hours of shopping, my back is killing me.
Punch Coronation in the garden after seven hours of shopping, by far the best of the three I've smoked on this trip. I found a nice little tobacconist called Tranters where I treated myself to a Bolivar Belicoso Fino. It was expensive at EMS price but I've wanted to try one for a while.
Back from evening in Hale with the apprentice. Moose Bar again, great selection of beers. Garden shuts at 8 so sat at the pavement table and shared my fragrant cigar smoke with passers by instead - you lucky people.
Had a tubed RyJ Short Churchill which made for a really enjoyable end to the day. Still a long way off being able to detail what I experienced (maybe I'll never get it) but I picked up a definite evolution of flavours, from something light and woody at the start to a strong coffee at the end. (I definitely get the coffee thing now - taste it all the time.)
I think I understand why some say these aren't complex cigars, but that's part of the appeal for me while I try to fix on what I'm tasting. I don't want too much going on - hints of this and that would be lost on me.
Burn was all over the place - I think that's my fault, but it didn't detract much from the overall experience.
