Not a lot to choose from, but bought my young colleague an H Upmann Junior Corona (his first cigar) and me a Montecristo Petit Tubos. Was that fair?

Despite the fact I'm not the best teacher (barely know what I'm doing myself), I seem to have acquired an apprentice. We're going for another cigar in London next week.

    Here's my apprentice ....

Shitty day turned out just fine.

Yes, thanks for the recommendation. It was rammed! Great selection of beers. I'd definitely go again.

              ERDM Lonsdale.

Also, one of these short filler NCs that aren't released yet. Damn they're good. Headed by Roberto Duran.

Nice & peppery, plenty of smoke & the flavour settled out with a nice creamy finish.
I felt this one was a little strong for me as it had quite a harsh hit of nicotine, perhaps that's me being new into cigars.

                  Cheers,

Unfortunately don't know what I had - the beer was bought for me. I asked for a bitter. It was a bloody nice pint whatever it was - reminded me more of those American micro-brewery dark beers than a traditional bitter.

There are enough lines on my face to give that away. Very much old enough. Didn't watch it, though remember the trailers and theme tune.

At 23, my apprentice wasn't even a twinkling in his parents' eyes when it was on TV.

I tried the Robusto last weekend. Definitely peppery, and loads and loads of smoke, but I found it bitter in the last third. Hard to describe because it was bitter in a nice way - like a really strong coffee - and there was a strange hint of sweetness at the same time. I'll definitely be getting some more.

Awesome little Monte Petit no 2. It's as good as the big one but a little smaller. Lasted an hour and a bit.
