Got a few NCs to mix things up a bit. Black Market Robusto tonight. Smell of unlit cigar was fantastic. A nightmare to light, very loose and serious tunnelling.
Making a spectacular amount of smoke. Visibility down to a few feet ... Wish I had a more discerning palate so I could say what I like and don't like about it, but despite the early problems, it's not bad at all. I guess that's the main thing.

So I have spent the day in a recording studio laying down drum tracks for a new demo cd. Had a selection of cigars with me, HdMep2, RyY Short Ch, and an eBay special La Luna 'Little Havana Blend' robusto. Unfortunately didn't get a chance for a smoke earlier so I'm on it now. Decided to try the La Luna for the sake of it. It's been in my humidor a week or so begging for me to try one!
I have to say I am very pleasantly surprised! Quite a complex cigar in all. Started with a nice dark chocolate flavour, sweet tobacco and nice creamy smoke. Nice sweet taste on the lips from the maduro wrapper. A good even burn needing no work at all. As I got to about half way through, the bitter chocolate became a little more bitter and a long nutty finish started to come through. As it progressed on down, the sweetness faded but the strength increased and a strong pepper started to appear in a pleasant way. The pepperyness continued to develop as I neared the end. A little tunneling towards the finish but this was perfectly acceptable. Finished up quite a strong smoke and throughly enjoyed throughout. Very good indeed for ?20 for 7 off eBay! That's a result in my book!
I tried out the DIY punch too and it worked a treat!

Brilliant invention. Love screwing on the lid and forgetting about the ash!
