PL PC up on Eaton Hill with the pup! Never had one before, or anything from PL for that matter. Good construction, firm draw and nice even burn. Unfortunately the wrapper was quite dry and split. Floral opening, fairly smooth with little spice. Not a great depth of flavours but pleasant. Into the middle third I developed a slight sweetness and honeyed notes on the nose. Into the final third it became quite spicy and an binned with about an inch and half to go. All in all a nice smoke, nothing stellar but would certainly try again. Always though of myself as a larger ring gauge chap, usually 46-52's but enjoyed the evolution of a smaller cigar. You do notice the heat a bit earlier on though! Anyway, all in all a nice afternoon with Mr Montague. Up on our hill is one of my favourite places as I grew up learning to drive old tractors, shooting and doing general country stuff up there with my Grandad. image-4150788358.jpgimage-2078384208.jpg
It was great thanks, I will update my little hoard soon.... Though most of my Normandy cider has already been drunk while sorting out a house disaster.
