Celebrating news that I got promoted at work with a Monte Sublimes Fantastic start to the cigar in terms of flavour, but my jaw is already starting to ache with the huge ring gauge!
Thanks everyone - it the job I wanted to get to when I first started at the organisation 7 years ago and doesn't come up very often so its quite a relief to finally get it after working my way up, especially as I originally didn't get the job despite having an apparently 'stunning' interview according to the feedback (I lost out to someone who had done the job before so was up against it), but then someone else unexpectantly resigned
The pay rise is also going to be very helpful with our first child less than a month away!
Congrats Shepp on the promotion and upcoming newborn!
If a sublime is for celebrating a promotion, what will it be for an addition to the family?
No idea! Probably something a bit smaller as I suspect the amount of free time I have will significantly reduce then! I might need to take a trip down to JJs as this is the cigar I have been saving for a special occassion
I bought a box of these the minute they came out what with JL2 being my favourite smoke. I've resisted for all that time but tonight I'm smashing their back doors in

Darn they look mouth watering, let us know how they smoke.
Well, first of the american haul started with.....
La Aroma De Cuba Mi Amor.
Very straightforward and bland cardboardy taste with a hint of cedar. WP_20140823_006.jpg
Further in, a very slight pepperiness but very little change in flavours. Shame, as construction draw and burn were perfect, best I've seen yet blowing the Cubans out of the water
