You're loving the Hoegaarden. I'm a Franziscana or Erdinger guy, I find Hoegaaden quite perfumed so for me its ok for one pint, much like stout. For me anyway.

i use a similar set up to distil my gin.

except the fractional column is made of copper instead of glass. plus i never mix up my distillation set up with my alcohol set up. this one is making formic acid by Potassium Dihexachromate. my alcohol glass never touches my actual chemistry sets.

But just showing the idea.
