    Smoked a Yard Gar.
Benchmade $60.00 a box made bt Don Pepin.
Not your everyday smoke and by far not a dog rocket.
Good flavor profile.Med. to full sandwich cigar.
1-10=4 not bad for the yard.

Bit pished, so excuse any typos.

Woke up particularly early; 5.00am and by 6.15 had an HdM Pnatelas Extra. Supposedly machine made, but no cello on these few, so I'm not sure.

Later during the day: Boli BF and two of those fine RASCC.

    Happy chappy

Had a cohiba robusto overlooking the beach. Very relaxing and very nice. Much better than the normal Cohibas I tried in Cuba last year. This one i could actually draw on !

Trinidad Reye earlier while having a picnic watching some local cricket. Yet again, it was roasting. I'm starting to think this might be a tolerable summer.

Later on, I had a Vegas Robaina Famoso in the car. My first VR and I have to say I'm very impressed. Good construction, draw and burn. Love the gold on the band too. Such mild smoke-I think I exhaled the majority through my nostrils. But the flavour! Reminded me of Swiss milk chocolate. Not particularly complex, but SOOO tasty. I'm looking forward to trying some of their other vitolas. Luckily for me I have a Clasico, a Unico (courtesy of whisky77) and a Don Alejandro sitting in my humi waiting for the right moment. I've read the DA is just like a long Famoso so I'm quite excited by the prospect of that!

Glad to hear that you are becoming familiar with the VR range dave.As you rightly say they can be very smooth and cocoa/chocolate flavoured and I am particularily fond of the Famosos.

Having tried the entire range i would say that the DA or Unicos is probably the best reflection of the VR taste.

I am a definate convert to the Trinidads now, and have smoked three Coloniales while in the garden today.Like the VR they are not strong or overly complex, just a nice tasting cigar.

I had probably better investigate the other Trinidads further then! It's all about the storage space, or lack thereof, at the moment though...

Just leave the filth for a bit of a gawp at least, please.
