For some reason I've decided that today is the day that I finally try the Guantanamo (sic) Cristales... I always said I'd take one for the cause so I could write a review for the Cigar Monologues...

First impressions - if nothing else, this is the pig ugliest cigar (thing, even) I have ever laid eyes on...

I have 2 of these in the humi, a rash purchase from a few years back. I recently popped them out of the tubes to try and get some moisture in to them.

I'm not particularly hopeful as they weren't great first time around

Some people you could offer your most valuable, prized cigar. one your saving for a very special occasion. One like a wedding. And all you would get is 'ew gross!' and 'Smoking is bad...didn't you know?'

Yes that is from experience.

Look on the bright side...you have more for yourself
Don't be angry that your cigars didn't get wasted on someone that wouldn't appreciate it.

I would see them refusing it as a good thing - you can now save this very expensive cigar for yourself and others who will appreciate them, there is a good chance that if the people at the wedding would have smoked them they would have smoked maybe a third and then left them because they 'didn't enjoy it'

For those who weren't there, when Ed, Mo and myself were herfing yesterday, a well meaning and extremely cute 4 year old girl accosted Mo and scolded him because she was so worried that he didn't know smoking was bad for you.

But I wanted one..... Wedding was lovely though it was in in Shropshire. I think I must of had a tad too much to drink from the free bar.
