After a long day in work decided to have a whisky (or two) with a welsh single malt to try and some johnnie walker black label. Not had either before so not a clue what to expect.

Ah, Penderyn. Not a bad drop when I last tried it, and ever-improving as they have more aged (and longer aged) stock to build into the final product.
Either way, looks like my kind of evening. Splendid.

It ended up being a lovely woody/floral fairly delicate smoke.

I can't give a very accurate description of it's flavours because well I took the JW first and the cigar masked a lot of it but it was very nice and I'll be trying it again!
Been a pleasant hour! I also watched an episode of the 5th series of breaking bad. A very pleasant evening indeed [emoji4] oh and had a freshly picked strawberry haha!

Sounds good! Not had a Quintero in years but I bought a box (infact it's what kick started me in to smoking cigars regularly) and I do remember them being very pleasant [emoji4]
Came down with a cold 48hrs ago, same time as my B&B landlord so don't know who gave it to whom. So couldn't smoke yesterday on the ferry as I traditionally do or at the hotel, still rough this morning so didn't have one in Aberdeen before check-in so I'll have to wait until next Wed when I am due off to start my celibation smokes.
PS I just posted some fishy pics on the fishy hols thread.

Sorry to hear that Simon.
