After spending the day laying our new fake lawn and heading off to France for hols this week I felt I needed to celebrate. So a Romeo J panatela 1987 was enjoyed.

Really good smoke with a straight ish burn and lovely creamy coffee and pepper tastes. Glad I bought them.

Very nice!

Pretty good bit of a pain to lay. Very heavy and bit of a fiddle to get down without rucks. Top tip is get a good flat firm surface underneath.

I mentioned to my mate Stuart that I'm not a brandy and whisky fan so he got the XO out to prove that its a different thing than supermarket brandy. I was flabbergasted by the stuff, truly blown away. It deserved a decent smoke hence the combo of peppery sweet and spicy aged Siglio VI's and XO. Problem is that we drank his special bottle. It's too expensive for me to drink but I'm gonna ask if anyone knows a more affordable rough equivalent?

Remy XO is pretty much king in my book (Louis XIII is just the stuff of dreams I'm afraid), much too expensive for me to buy a bottle though!

Remy Coeur De Cognac and hennssy Fine De Cognac are about as expensive as I go.

I normally stock Remy or Martell VSOP and I enjoy them both.

Just looked on line, the XO seems really expensive, I am sure I got a bottle from Booths a couple of weeks ago it was around ?150 - ?199, I got it for a mates birthday.
