Another one of these things. This one, however, is better than the last. How can that be?

Tail is indeed still on. I twist it without the need for a cutter. Hamlet's custom rolls call for that.

Halfway through, I did punch it off. Went too harsh.

Also, I'm strongly against using a shurikren cutter. Novelty that's unnecessary.
Punch cut on the end of my lighter is enough for most of my smokes. I don't need to carry around a bull testicle to mangle my cigars before cremating them...
              Just my two cents

Perhaps this time it was exactly what you wanted so it was in itself more satisfying

I suppose it does look like a Boa that swallowed a pig, maybe a feral one?

Only Jeremy could be the first to write the words Shuriken and Bull Testicle in the same post.

I see, firstly sorry for my badly spelled shurikren! The pig tail twisting is interesting, does it just open up a hole in the end then? Its interesting, I've not had a stick with a tail, most of the smokes I cut have lots of layers to punch through before you can get a draw. In fact I had this Gloria Cubana yesterday that had a solid 2mm of binder and wrapper on the cap, it held together beautifully but maybe a little overkill.
I have BHK on the way now, would you recommend the twist and go method for that or is it one for cutting?

Personally I don't twist the pig tails off, I think the risk of taking the whole cap off and ruining the cigar is too great - I just treat them the same as any other cap
