Agreed, I also find the draw can become tight on certain sticks if the ash is too long.

That's interesting Marc, never heard that before. I had heard the long ash helps to keep the smoke cooler. Each to his own.

Yep, it's part of the beauty of this hobby of ours! Everyone's preference is slightly different.

I wouldn't knock it off all the time but if its more than a third of the smoke I usually snap it off.
