This will be interesting. I have been sitting on these for 3 years. Tried one wet and it was not approachable, let's see what 3 years has done.

At least the mystery of the label is over. These are some US laser jet printable labels I got a few years ago for a bit of fun.

.... only because your attempts at Behike ones were rubbish!

A quality smoke. Super dense tobacco but draw was fine, perhaps a little tight later on.

A full bodied blend, a cross between monte, Cohiba and boli. Toast, leather and cream with coffee and spice. Blend was reminiscent of an old school Cuban. Nice twang in the first half that got lost further down as the strength kicked in. Will revisit in a year or so.

Simon, I think I gave you one of these, try dry boxing and give it a go. Be interesting to hear your take.

Hi Monk' gla someone remembers some of the finer deails of the herf Yep you did give me one short & a Laguito No1. But having read your review & just been sort out my stash this morning I am going to wait til next yr to try this; I have a few customs from Larryson to get through first, which I assume are older & hopefully ready to go.
Actually I thinking about it I'll take it on next yrs fishing hols. I try to take a selection of shorter smokes as the Scottish weather can't be relied on to stay stable long enough, to finish a large one & I'd hate to end up with half a soggy stick. The fact that it has some power would lend itself to outdoor smoking.
PS I also have some large formats of my own from my Cuba hols.

Partagas D4 whilst enjoying BBQ and Tiger beer. This is my first reasonable sized cigar in a long time and I forgot how fabulous they are. After smoking a pipe for the most part I was a little concerned that the strength and power of PD4 would be too much. Draw was a little tight and smoke quantity was somewhat less than ideal, but the burn was good all the way to the nub. Lovely taste all the way.
Now to watch Hull City whilst sipping a Havana Club 7 and dry ginger.
That pipe is asking for some attention too.

After an awesome day out at the lake walking dogs in glorious sun I thought a cigar in the garden would be nice and opted for the Jose L Piedro Cetros. At first I feared the worst but gradually settled into a really nice smoke. Got a menthol hit every so often but think my hayfever may have played a part, overall a nice cuban smoke which I can get for under ?4, might invest in a pack of 5.

Had a little Smokey River 'house' cigar this afternoon courtesy of my old man. ?10 for 50 - and I'll be damned, it was bloody good! Will be picking some of them up when I pop over to Belgium next month for sure.
