After cutting all that grass I deserved a cigar and went for an RyJ Tubo #2, first one I've smoked since last year. Nice nutty flavour to begin with but got a tad harsh and went out a few times. Got driven into the garage by the bloody wind which not only tried to blow my cigar away but almost blew my drink over. Nature 1 Peejay 0 on this occasion. Bloody annoying when you look at that sunshine.

Not posted for a while, but hello to everyone again!
Currently in Spain for a week. Spent the day on the beech and a had a RyJ 2.
Going to Barcelona tomorrow to have a mooch around for some old stock

Had my first 40+ ring gauge cigar today with the Inka Rojo Red Petit Corona. Bland opening which changed throught the smoke and was rather nice for the first 1/3 before tailing off into an okay remainder. Longer smoke than Ive had before so was a bit of a relief to finish after previously smoking 32's etc. But for the price it was a very enjoyable smoke. Going back to work on monday so no more smokes for a week at least for me.

Started in the conservatory then 'booted' outside when SWIMBO wanted to air some ironing.
07 Bolivar Bonitas. Usually I love this cigar, and whilst it was smokable, it had flattened dramatically from how I remember cigars from this box being, the characteristic movement through taste sensations was missing. Maybe it's just a passing phase, or maybe it's me and my memory's shot, and it's a worry which if it was isolated wouldn't concern me too much, but I've noticed the same with several of my post 06 vitola, they don't seem to be aging as well as smokes from earlier years.

Thats a shame to hear that. It made me think also that as habanos has more and more aged tobacco stock do you think cigars will generally smoke better younger and have less ageing potential than previous years?Originally posted by tippexx View Post
