Got to the beach late & the sunny day had turned grey & very cool. Got to the bank as it closed, couldn't even sit in the coffee shop but as it was 17:25 they would only let me have a take away coffee & slice o Choclate & orange sponge. Just to get something in my stomach before lighting up. Nipped across the road & orderd a pint of Stella & taking it outside under the heater of the Old School House & lit up an ugly stik. SAM_4513.jpgIt was unbanded, size of a Aromaticos & that's what I was hoping it was but it certianly wasn't. A very bitter cigar (which isn't a bad thing per-se), the Belinda Princess is a fairly bitter smoke too but has saving grace flavour that this stick didn't. SAM_4515.jpgIt also had a lingering bitter after taste that was quite unpleasant. A bitter smoke for the bitter Passion week. Still it was more first smoke for two wks & I was tempted to have the Party Short afterwards but decided to leave it for another time. Next smoke will be after Lent, the only question is what to choose?
PS For the first time we took a tanker & offloaded oil for TWO yrs, the Curlew is back making money on oil as well as gas.SAM_4512.jpg

That's one bumpy little stick Simon, the rustic ones always call out to me! I have a soft spot for the ugly ones.

Yep, I can hack ugly if it's tasty Marc, this one was a real bad machine made disaster. Oh well, they just help you appreciate the good ones even more, at least it wasn't plugged

That's a good way of looking at it Simon, and being surprised is part of the fun of unbanded sticks I suppose.
