From what I can tell the surger just strips money out of your wallet. Like they are going to continue selling the specific cans you have to buy to use it..... Ultrasonic pulses for a perfect head? Seriously?

Perfect pub pint your after, get a hand powered pump and a keg I say.

Im not into nitrogen fuelled beers TBH, I just wish they would not pasteurise it in the first place... Then a widget wouldn't be needed. Good old fashioned bottle conditioning is best in my book! Let the natural ingredients do their job. A live yeast culture in a bottle can keep beer fresh for a fecking long time and can (arguably) add some pretty unique health benefits.

Thats why I like good home brew and real ale.... Even to the point of resurrecting yeast cultures from bottles and trying to copy the beer at home.

A great book for home brewing. If you can get the correct yeast strain then all the better.... Generaly the only way to get the correct strain is to make a yeast starter from the yeast remnants in the bottom of a bottle of ale.
