Are you smoking the dippy 2 if so can we have notes, hows it compared to the monte 2?
In a word.... Stunning! Quite refined in a way similar to the No.3, a tad more spice and definitely stronger. More complex really, burn is faultless.
The Monte No.2 has more leather and cream to my mind. If I was choosing for smoking at night with a drink, it would be the Monte all the way.
As a desert cigar after a meal?... The Dip has it beat for me.
Overall, the Monty.. Just.
The Dip is potentially more versatile but the Monte is a bit more of a statement.. More centre stage. But you know what, it's so close that on a different day I might just edge the Dip.
I will certainly be stocking each of them, so we can do both in a night to give it a real test if you want.
With these two and the Partagas P2, I think Piramide is my current favourite vitola... Next on the list of to try is Vegas Robaina Unicos and H. Upmann No.2.

1. Rafael Gonzalez German RE
2. Fonseca French RE
3. RyJ Belicoso
The RyJ belicoso is an often overlooked gem IMO. Perfect construction, perfect draw and sublime flavours. I seldom see them mentioned on any cigar forum
