Struggled with a defiantly plugged and wayward burning Quintero Panatelas .... after failing to respond to a No.1 Allen Key shoved up its jacksy, it got heaved into the borders for digging in when the weather gets better.

A proper shame really, because what little smoke I could get out of it had the potential to be OK. But hey-ho, that's the joy of Cuban Cigars, you're never quite sure if it will be Salma Hayek or her ugly sister who will turn up!

Is that a reference to Santanico Pandemonium?

A bit like a Tijuana rolled Quintero Tarantino you mean ... but I wasn't smoking one of those, I was smoking a CC Panatelas!

A quick party short for me. The box has a year on it now and smoked very well, good flavour and even burn.

What's your thoughts on the Quintero Panatelas when not plugged? I got a single not long ago, but since I bought it I have been hearing a few negative reports.

They're not bad for a short filler ? no where near as good as the PLP ? and when they're flowing you get good clean Cuban tastes, not progressive but quite strong and without (in my experience) any noticeable nicotine hit. They're a pleasant afternoon smoke, and for the price very good value for money .... when they're not bloomin' plugged!
