I worked all last night till 7am so didn't get up to bed till 8am and up again at 1.15pm so it had to be something light today as I was effectively smoking just after breakfast. I decided to test drive the CAO MX2 Dagger; a 4" double maduro, and what a great little smoke it was. Review in the appropriate place. Shepp, have you got nothing better to do that early in the morning than look on the forum? At least Butternut can blame the time differential. Seriously though it was a long boring night hoping another night bird would be posting on the forum but at least I have four days off now.

Might grab something Monte or Partagas later but might go for something Non Cuban, will see what takes my fancy when I get home!

I'm up between 5:30 and 6 every morning as I need to be out of the door at 6:45 to make sure I get into work on time - I just check the forum when I'm having my cup of tea before leaving, I probably do have better things to do but like to ease my way into the day! 😄

I like 'em, perhaps it's the classic marketing but present one of these to friends after a meal, wrapped in it's gold foil, always goes down well. General critisim is that it's too mild for the old Boli style it pertains too but at times that's all I need. Of course I never had an original so don't know the difference, did you ever have one Puff?

That's one of the reasons I failed to get on the Boli GM bandwagon..the standard 1980's-90's lonsdale was a fine cigar with more body than Elle Macpherson but since the early 90's Bolivar has IMO weakened the flavour profile of their brand..I don't remember having a GM back then but if I did it would have tasted great as I would have stolen it from my Dad....

Would you say the lonsdales are a better choice than the gms despite them being around 50% more expensive?
Also, the ones on the market nowadays seems seem to all be from 98-02. That shan't affect their quality too much eh?

The Casa Fernandez was a nice start. At first it came off a little bitter. The Ashton ESG was delightful as I have a thing for sungrown and it is made by Fuente so the construction was flawless. Last was a Padron '64 Anniversary maduro. The burn was razor sharp with a floral hint along with the usual earthiness.

Tat was flawless but then smoked the D4 and it blew it out of the park!

Monte 4 had a very tight draw which pretty much ruined it for me especially as I was craving something Monte, will have to pull out one of the bigger boys at the weekend!
