  • Christmas Day 2013

Well I started early. After a toasted Bacon sarni, I ensured there is enough chlorine in the drinking water to ensure you don't need to need to use soap in the shower! Tested the emergency equipment & then filled my pockets with paracetamool, Ibprofen & Rennies & set up a forward First Aid post in the smoking lounge. I couldn't bring myself with smoke the ERDM '90 without real champange, guess I'll keep it until next Chrimbo instead.

As the only thing I had that needed unwrapping today was this little gem, a Party Panatela form the 70's. The time when I was either still in education or had just joined up. You can see from the cellophane how stained it was from the oils. Smoked well but although I was on my own to start with (no fag smoke to adulterate the Cuban aromas) others joined & talking too much meant a couple of re-lights but otherwise a very pleasent smoke, with the last shandy on the rig! I'll be reduced to Becks Alcohol free beer for lunch,
Hope everyone is having a great time?????SAM_4034.jpgSAM_4036.jpgSAM_4041.jpg

Haha! If you're going to do these things, you might as well do them properly.

Sounds like you had a solid back-up. I do feel for you though, not sure I could cope with alcohol free beer at Christmas... (Actually, if my one experience of Becks Blue is anything to go by, not sure I could cope with it any time...) Beer aside, I hope you have a quiet and relaxing Christmas Day - well, as much as possible on a rig.

My first ever Cohiba PE that was gifted to me last Boxing Day by my lovely in-laws that I've been saving for today.. I'm happy to say this is one of the best cigars of the year. A stone cold classic. Worthy of a box for special occasions for sure!!

Starting proceedings with a Mag 50. Ramon Allones Superiores and a Cohiba Pyramides Extra to follow. Pairing the Upmann with some cask strength Glengoyne 12yo.

Had an old band siglo V from unknown year lined up. But I've nowhere to light and no power.......

instead we've been driving around with my turtles in a tupperdore (our house is 4 deg centigrade now) staring at these images:
