The Mag 50 had some issues alas. Tight draw and a wrapper that became loose during smoking even though I had dry boxed it for a couple of days. I've moved onto the RA Superiores. First from the box, and so far, so good.....

So finally got round to having a flor de cano petit corona lovely smoke first 2 thirds creamy and smooth with a spice on final 3rd.

Remeber peejays review and it fell apart such a sham as the one he sent me was spot on

Well it turns out that my Sancho Panza Corona Gigantes was plugged which pissed me off, not least because it was a waste of ?15. Luckily my brothers wasn't so it didnt ruin his present and I did at least to smoke a bit of it with him. To get over this I smoked the Te Amo Dominican Blend Robusto that I got today which was decent smooth and mellow smoke :-)

Bad luck there Sarge, unusual to have plugs on larger ring guages, glad you had a back up plan

It has become tradition now for me to have a Boli GM, this years smoke was glorious, only enough left for another six. Time to measure up suitable replacements.

Some excellent choices for the special day by everyone.

                      Merry Christmas 😄

Today has not felt like Christmas for us as we spent most if it out helping to cook and serve Christmas dinner to 100 people that would have been alone this Christmas.

Just tried a Cuaba generosos great little stick not as the refined as some others but not completely unremarkable.

We will be having full on Christmas tomorrow so will crack out the big guns then hopefully.

                        Merry Christmas to all.

Sounds like a noble way to spend your Christmas Joncon.

Glad you managed to get a good smoke in though (I've always thought that 'agricultural' is a good way to describe Cuaba... Still jolly pleasant none-the-less). Enjoy your celebrations tomorrow, they sound very well earnt.

That's what I thought too. Still, all's well that ends well :-)

An Upmann 50 for me in the morning which was a glorious smoke - really really enjoyed it and will have to try another. The evening was a fundadores which was so rich in flavour, really took me by surprise (paired with some Anejo rum which worked well)

                              Merry Christmas to you all!

                                Cohiba Behike 56

It was touch and go whether it would be the Behike 56 or the Cohiba Piramides Extra. The Behike was the better choice in view of the circumstances, as I smoked it indoors, it was Christmas Day after all, with the air purifier going full blast and a couple of small windows open. It lasted almost two hours, it was a good cigar to smoke in company as it was mild and flavoursome, but not strong or obtrusive in any way. The last half developed into a very tasty cigar with large amounts of creamy smoke. All in all an excellent Christmas cigar which even non-smokers in the room didn't object to. It was accompanCohiba Behike 56.jpgied by some tasty chocolates and two or three Glendiddich 12 year generous tots.
