I'll be in Italy for xmas so will be picking some up over there too.
These are all good smokes you can get for under ?15 that I think would make a great smoke at Christmas:

    Bolivar Belicosos Finos
    Bolivar Royal Corona
Montecristo No 1 (or if you're able to go a few pound further I recommend the No 2 more)
    Partagas Serie D4
    Ramon Allones Specially Selected

How did you find your smoke earlier?

A really good smoke, was a bit slow starting off but you were right in saying it got better and better as it progressed, will definitely be re-visiting it!

Smoked a Cuaba Tradicionales on my drive home Saturday, tight draw (ran a cocktail stick through it in an attempt to open it up), very one dimensional smoke, was pleasent when retrohaled but you can't smoke a whole cigar like that, I wouldn't buy these again but you do have to try these things don't you!

I had a RG Slenderella '01, whilst pike fishing on Loch Oich, North of Inverness. Weather surprisingly good, cold but no wind, snow or ice. Cigar was grand, good draw & even in the cold the flav came through nicely. Had it with an Earl Grey tea & a coffee as the woman in the shop wouldn't serve me alcohol at that time of the morning. I couldn't believe I got turned down for an alcohol sale in Scotland. Must have been my southern accent!

I prefer these indoors if possible but as long as there is no real breeze they work ok outside. It's quite a robust flav for a skinny, although not as much as the Punch Nifa of course. I do note nice gingerbread flavs & as the draw was fine, it was perfect for the day. Of course it would have been nice to catch something & then I could have really celibrated. I have a Monte No3 '98 with me but as I didn't catch guess I'll wait intil Fri & smoke it to celebraite passing & renewing my Offshore Medic's Licence. The reason that this will enable me to keep my job is enough to celibrate me thinks. Just noted on Sunday, a local cafe had a bottle of Bollenger under the counter, fancied a glass of that on Fri but as that was the one bottle they didn't sell by the glass, I skip that as ?110 on my own is a little too OTT
