Had an 2007 Maduro 5 Genios from a box of 10 while out for a long walk on the hills.

Unfortunately after a very promising smooth and tasty first third the ash became very flakey and it keep trying to die out, tossed about half way through. I can't stand the acrid bitter taste you get when they don't burn properly and you having to draw like hell!

I think the cold damp weather caused a lot of this trouble.

Shame really, usually a brilliant cigar.

That's a shame Tom, a real waste, guess the tip is to use 'dog rockets' or dog walkers for such conditions, they are likely to be looser so a bit of extra humidity shouldn't make the draw impossible & save the best smokes for times when you can control the stetting & concentrate on them rather than being distracted by the scenary & looking out for rabbit holes ect.

cold, damp windy weather is about the worse environment you can attempt smoke a cigar. would never take anything decent for that environment.

Should have known better really but I hadn't had one for nearly 12 months and all my other boxes have taken a hammering of late. I'd rather have a few "good" cigars less frequently than average sticks more regularly just for the sake of it, but then again, with our weather and the ban it doesn't leave you many options-hence wasting a good stick on Sunday unfortunately...
