After a week of man flu, with a rasping cough I'm back in the game and taking it easy with a Trini Reyes.
          It feels sooooooo good!

Looks like a result to me...I find a full bodied cigar pairs nicely with stout

We have been together for 16yrs, bar a year I was on the Maersk Innovator & when I had to leave there he got me my job on the Curlew. We have been through alot together, as my advanced first aider & with 12 yrs experience of first aid in the RN as a Po Cook, he was invaluable & has helped me out with single & mutiple casulaties. It's a sad day for us as he's a reall good guy & kept doing his best for us right up to the last day.

He had to work food containers today, which had delayed by weather for a few days & the OIM asked for a special meal, as we are finally producing Oil & Gas after 18months of repairs at sea.

He managed to pop into the sickbay at 1500 for a coffee & we looked at old photos of our time onboard here. We usually catch up like this, he listens to my tales of pike & smokes & he tells me of his far flung tours to Machu Picu, Galapogus, Sir lanka, Kenya, with his wife.

Of course it's a good day for him tomorrow, he should be on the beach by 09:30 & heading home for the last time. I should have been off tomorrow as well & we were going for a last drink a smoke together but I have had to pull a three weeker, to be able to attend my medic's refresher next trip. Somehow I doubt I'll be able to finish at 65 & of course the first trick is just to survive that long!

I managed to find him a silver cigarette box on fleabay & thought that would be a nice reminder of us & useful too. Turns out he doesn't smoke at home as hs wife thinks he gave up 20yrs ago, out here he's a 20 a day man! So he going to use it for his loose change on his bedside table.

I lit a Party Short 2004 & we had a couple of photos taken, unfortunately I didn't have a card in the camera & it's saved in the internal memory & I haven't got the lead to down load it here.

Anyway so long old friend I wish you all the best, may you have a long, happy & healthy retirement.BoxingDay.Lunchdisplay.2007_0508.jpgBoxingDay.Lunch.Mine.2007_0511.jpg

The proportions look to be more Siglo IV than I ..... so, likely GFK1 has accidently transposed his I's and his V's.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

                            H. Upmann Half Corona - liked it for the most part but it was slightly bitter towards the end.

Too bad the beginning is pretty much the end with the Half Coronas
