Welcome home Deano, fishing umbrella, 42" or 50"+? Get the big version & you can relax on sunbed & still keep dry.

So what did you think you it Dave? Thinking of buying a box or two shortly, so would appreciate a quick reveiw.

Think I was in a similar set up to you Deano, heaven's absolutely opened up but it was warm and I stayed relatively dry under my half parasol and thoroughly enjoyed a HDM Petit Robusto.

I notice that's punch cut there Joey, I just got a free punch cutter with an ashtray I bought. Does it make any perceivable difference?

I flirt between cutting and punching, not a massively nonticable difference really, a punch cut obviously delivers a more controlled delivery of smoke as it's a smaller opening.

Simon, as a HdM fan I maybe a little biased, but I've now smoked a dozen and been very impressed!

First third (particularly yesterdays smoke) has pronounced, delicious honey and caramel, almost toffee-like flavours. They linger througout the smoke, but become sweet background notes to a more pronounced woody/cedar profile and one of those hard-to-identify flavours, but possbily remininscent of nutmeg/maceThere are plenty of strong Hoyo aromatics that (apparently ) permeate the house within minutes.

The burn's been perfect on every stick; the first ash holding firm to the halfway mark. Draw is easy with a good mouthful of beautiful HdM medium to full bodied flavours, but perhaps closer to medium in strength.

In a nutshell, there'll be another couple of boxes going in the humi at the very first opportunity
